Winter Training Sessions

It's tough to maintain fitness in the winter.  Days are short.  The weather is cold and often wet.  Rowing on the erg is b...o...r...i...n...g.  Motivation  is always a challenge.

Winter Workouts on the Erg

Well, we now have an answer for the last excuse.  Erin Simon has organized a group winter training program to help keep up fitness levels and interest.  The program includes circuit training, running and erging (usually not all on the same day).  Sessions are being held twice a week:  Wednesday evenings at 6:00 pm for circuit training and running at various locations and Saturday mornings at 8:00 am at the Downtown Boathouse for running and/or erging.

If you need a little motivation this winter, plan to join the group.  Just come to the Downtown Boathouse at 8:00 am on Saturdays (we're meeting there tomorrow morning) or contact Erin Simon ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ) to find out where the Wednesday evening workout will be.

No excuses!
