VBC Mens Masters Compete on the Schuylkill

PHILADELPHIA October 26, 2008 - The Virginia Boat Club's masters mens rowing team competed in the Head of the Schuylkill over the weekend.

What started as a miserable, rainy weekend on Saturday turned into a beautiful rowing day for Sunday's masters events.  Conditions were sunny with a brisk headwind, and temperatures were in the low 60's.VBC Mens 4+ at the Head of the Schuylkill

VBC competed in event 27B - Mens Masters Four w/Coxswain, finishing third overall in the class with a time of 16:01.2300 over the 2.5-mile course to place behind only Pennsylvania Athletic Club and Vesper Boat Club.

The VBC masters men will complete the season with their final race at Head of the Occoquan on November 2.
