Golds for VBC at Occoquan Challenge

OCCOQUAN, VA October 4, 2008 - VBC chalked up two big wins at the 2008 Occoquan Challenge!

In the singles category, Leeds Nudd racked up an impressive win in the 1x Men's Championship event, posting the fastest time of any single scullers.  At a blazing 17:50.2 time, Leeds' time was just shy of a full minute over the next closest sculler from Fairmount Rowing Association.

VBC took home the second gold medal of the day with a win in the Men's Masters 4+ event.  Katie Wood coxed the boat of Dan Snyder (stroke), Jason Rife, Steve Abbot, and Steve Chilmaid.  The crew posted a strong time that bested all other masters and club 4+s.
