Occoquan Sprints 2009

RSCN0218Occoquan, VA July 11, 2009 - The Virginia Boat Club participated at the Occoquan Sprints posting strong results in the women's single and double sculling events.

In the womens lightweight 1x event, Shannon Conner placed first with a winning time of 4:37.4.  Right behind Shannon was Jen Harper who placed third (4:41.3) and just .3 seconds off of the second place finisher from Hampton Roads Rowing Club.

Building on the success in the single scull events, VBC placed first in the womens lightweight 2x event (Barb Faurot and Shannon Conner), finishing with a winning time of 4:45.2.
